A great favorite of mine at the just completed Sitges Film Festival was Javier Chillon's very odd short film Die Schneider Krankheit, a mock 1950's educational documentary about an epidemic triggered when a monkey-laden rocket crash lands in Germany. The tone of this is just absolutely spot on and I greatly regretted not having any footage to share when I reviewed the film during the festival. But that has just changed! Chillon just dropped a note to let me know he has now cut a trailer for his film and you can find all the retro scifi goodness in the Twitch Player below the break!
After that gnarly poster and review I am very glad to finally see some footage! Retro 50s Sci-fi is something dear to me.
Any word on further screenings at fests or a release of some kind?
I don't know if I could stand a whole movie like this, but as a short or trailer I must say "Brilliant!"
