Having had the chance to see My Name Is Bruce - the latest directorial effort from cult icon Bruce Campbell of Evil Dead fame - I can say quite conclusively that it is not a good film. I didn't particularly expect it to be a good film, honestly - and I doubt most Campbell fans are thinking that way, either - but it's not quite the right sort of bad film either. It has it's funny moments, sure, but mostly it's just bad bad as opposed to good bad with Campbell just not having enough skill behind the camera. Or, for that matter, a decent enough budget to afford a decent lighting crew, apparently. But Bruce is Bruce and for that we love him, at least enough to present to you all the new trailer for My Name Is Bruce. You'll find it below the break in the Twitch Player.

This is not surprising, conceptually and all the previous materials point to a big fat STALE.

Somehow it is. Bruce better hope and pray that another talented filmmaker like Coscarelli is a fan and casts him in a quality film soon. The ship, it be sinkin'.

I am by no means the best judge of what is and is not a good movie, but that movie looks horrible.
