Oh, lordy. The Coen Brothers in top comedic form is a good thing, indeed. Brad Pitt playing comedy, also a good thing. Brad Pitt playing stupid comedy, even better. Brad Pitt playing comedy opposite Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton, John Malkovich, JK Simmons and George Clooney? Should be bloody awesome and if the trailer for Burn After Reading is any indication this could be the best Coen comedy since The Big Lebowski. Pitt and McDormand play personal trainers who discover a CD loaded with government secrets dropped by a CIA agent played by John Malkovich and decide to try and blackmail the agent and / or sell the disc to the highest bidder. Hilarity ensues. Really.
Apple is forcing would-be viewers to download the new, red-band trailer via their iTunes software - an irritating piece of brand expansion, in my book - but it's totally worth it. Yummy.

Looks awesome. You can watch the trailer at slashfilm.com without using apple.

Watching Brad Pitt get punched by Malkovich makes the trailer worth a view or two.
Brad Pitt looks hilarious in this movie - so far removed from the coolness of Ocean's Rusty, or for that matter Jesse James. This is going to be a blast. Can't wait.
Looks ok, still too soon to compare this with Lebowski.
