Oh, man. I have to confess that I'm a huge sucker for Zucker Brothers style comedy. I've lost count of how many times I've seen the original Airplane and am a big, big fan of Top Secret as well. The Zuckers haven't don't anything particularly worthwhile in ages but at their peak they were legitimate pop culture phenomenons and as cult inspiring as Monty Python. Sure, spoof movies are becoming a dime a dozen in Hollywood but nobody seems to be doing them particularly well there and the form, in my opinion, has been lagging badly for at least the last decade. Enter, bizarrely enough, Russia. They've had a couple of comedies hit big recently, one of them made very much in the Zucker style, and the upcoming Hitler Kaput looks to be sublimely stupid in all the right ways. The first trailer had me totally hooked - and not just because of the brilliant Britney Spears cover - and this second one is both tighter and funnier. Yes, please.
