A huge sleeper hit in its native Korea and the big buzz film from the region over the first half of the year, Korean crime drama The Chaser will soon be coming to local shores in the form of a remake from the same team that brought us The Departed. But for those who'd rather see the original version there's good news in that the Korean hit will be arriving on DVD in Korea July 24th in a two disc limited edition set with English subtitles included. This one I've been waiting for some time to come out on DVD. I hope it passes the hype test. It would seem that this summer might be better than last for noteworthy product from Korea.
I just saw this movie and it blew me away. I don't know what Todd was talking about in his review. The cinematography was great, the acting and characters were superb (especially the main character), the plot was original and the movie kept you on the edge of your seat the whole time.
