Yes, kids, I first heard rumblings about this a day ago and with a bit of digging I've been able to confirm that Short Round is returning in the latest installment of the Indiana Jones franchise. And playing the adult version of Dr. Jones' diminutive sidekick? No, it's not original actor Ke Huy Quan this time out, the role instead being handed to none other than Jet Li. Jet in an Indiana Jones picture? Yes, please.
...and I bet the release date is getting pushed back to April 1, 2009.

I've heard it is only a tiny cameo and was filmed last year.
The rumored bit would go as follows: Indy enters a cinema, and in the "news-reel" before the movie you see about three seconds of someone being kicked through a window by Jet. It's supposedly one of many moments in the movie where Indy ponders his age.
For all I know it might not be in the finished movie, but there is mention of the character "short round" with the actor uncredited.
Jet Li did visit Spielberg's set for a day last autumn, a mutual respect sort of thing, so take that whichever way you like...
