Absolutely f'n awesome.

Hopefully more on how awesome will come tomorrow, assuming I have time to write a bit whilst sitting in the departure lounge on my way to Hong Kong.

You're on the way to Hong Kong, dude? How long will you be here?

I didn't doubt it but that's some good news right there, chaps. Can't wait...but I have to psshh.

Haha, ahh thats good to hear. I was almost embarrassed that I was looking forward to this movie.

I have to wait until tomorrow but I've already passed this link onto Neil and his wife. Chime in everyone. Neil is reading!

Phew that's good news. This film has been sitting uncomfortably with me since I saw the first stills. I just wasn't sure Neil knew how to handle this budget, the genre and might just be a little over his head.
I don't know why I thought that but many directors who have started out with fantastic smaller films have completely blown it when they get more money to play with.
I'll be looking forward to it then.

TLDR. Damn, Todd, try cutting down your review next time!

Utterly fantastic. There where a few odd pacing choices and over edited action scenes(*SPOILER* Like the lengthy tribal barbecue and the cut a second sword fight that follows it*) but the sheer willingness to please and its late 70's Carpenter Vibe more then made up for its faults. It could have easily been grind house Part 3 and I'm going to drag all my friends to see it in a heart beat. I'm looking forward to Mr. Marshall's upcoming horror western even more now!

*spoiler*

And I've heard a few people complain about the medieval third act, but I liked it, it spiced things up and gave us something other then the shoot-em up that had preceded it.

I'll add my $.02 and agree with you all here. Can't remember the last time I had so much fun in a theater. Absolutely loved this movie!

I can't understand the hatefest over at Rotten Tomatoes and IMDb. I thought I would take a lot of flak for liking this as much as I did. It seems I have found a tribal group of friends with whom I can band together.

This is Badass! Note the capitalization.

Momo: Just arrived at my hotel here, I'm right down by the convention center. Here until the 22nd.

Have fun in the film market, Zod! :)

That's because no one actually likes movies over at Rotten Tomatoe and IMDB. It's a constant hate-a-thon. Avoid both at all costs if you want to remain sane.
