Music Video and Stills-O-Plenty for THE FORBIDDEN KINGDOM

by Al Young, March 26, 2008 4:32 AM

In addition to the behind the scenes video that was posted a few days ago, there is two more item to hold us over till the release of The Forbidden Kingdom. First off is a Chinese music video "Heroes" via YouTube featuring a mixture of hip-hop and something else. Not that I care for the music too much but there is some new footage in there including some great action and even Michael Angarano show off his moves with the staff. For a beginner, I gotta give him props. The second item is a link to a large collection of stills with a spoilerific images of the mythical Monkey King aka Sun Wu Kong. Bring on the monkey style kung fu.

You'll find the music video embedded below after the break.

That rocks. If I could have a streaming desktop that would be it.

This movie continues to look not at all bad. Jackie seems to be staying nicely liquored up in the footage coming out from this. Jet Li's comedic skills are underrated, it's always welcome seeing him play it a bit loose onscreen.

There's always the chorus of "But, it has a white kid in it!" and "Jackie and Jet both said it sucks!". Jackie Chan's dissed more of his own movies than I can count, and fired directors who were orders of magnitude better than Jackie himself could ever hope to be. Jet Li was in LAST HERO IN CHINA (or, as most people know the film, "Is That Wong Fei-Hung In A F---ing Chicken Suit?") and bailed on CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON to do ROMEO MUST DIE. Just because they don't like it doesn't mean it isn't any good.
