At the just completed European Film Market I had a chance encounter with one of my film idols, Danish screenwriter and director Anders Thomas Jensen - the writer of two of the original Dogme films and director of his own excellent pictures Adam's Apples and The Green Butchers, among others. When asked what he was working on all that Jensen would spill was that he was working on a script for his friend and regular collaborator, director Tomas Villum Jensen to direct, details of which have just appeared on the Danish Film Institute website.
Criminal psychologist Adrian is sent to Indonesia to examine the mental state of Severin Gertsen, a Dane who claims to be 129 years old thanks to a carnivorous plant with, so he claims, immortalizing qualities. Severin has been sentenced to death for murdering an entire camera crew whom he caught stealing "his" plant. When Adrian by an absurd misunderstanding ends up in the same prison, the two of them manage to escape, and together with Adrian's secretary, they embark on a frantic chase through the jungle in pursuit of the precious plant – only one step ahead of the Indonesian army and a gang of local mobsters.
Titled Ved Verdens Ende, the film stars Nikolaj Lie Kaas, Nicolas Bro, and William Hurt (!). Yes, please.

The title translates to "To the End of the World"
I'm always in the mood for Anders Thomas Jensen so I say bring it on!
Weird. My information on this came from the DFI website but they've since removed the listing for the film.
It looks like there may be 2 films by the same name. You can find a tiny bit of info on this new film on this page of Danish films in production.
