Tradition dictates that the last Thursday before the International Film Festival Rotterdam starts, the complete list of films and (more importantly) the schedule is published in the "Volkskrant", one of the few remaining Dutch newspapers. The new festival management hasn't changed this.
So early this morning I ambushed the paperboy who delivers this specific newspaper and bullied him into selling me a copy, even though I don't have a subscription.
It's a yearly ritual.
Of course these drastic measures are no longer really necessary to get this information in these modern times: the IFFR website has been updated to contain the same schedule and film list, nicely cross-linked. Years ago the site's performance was wobbly (I'm being VERY friendly here) but the last two years it was fine and so far I have no complaints about the current one.
So browse away, and please drop a line in the comments (or post in our forum) to tell me what I should see and review next week!

And also once again, for those of us up north in the Netherlands, the schedule for the IFFR Groningen edition is online now too:

Im headed to Rotterdam for the last weekend (1-3feb) and I'll get to see pretty much every movie I hoped to see: REC, Let The Right One In, Sad Vacation, The Unseeable, Diary Of The Dead, Appleseed Deus Ex Machina,... Thank you very much IFFR, I can't wait to go!
