Just announced as one of the first titles accepted in the film section of the annual SXSW Festival, documentary Dreams With Sharp Teeth should have immediately caught the attention of any self respecting sci-fi or fantasy geek thanks to its subject matter: Harlan Ellison. The man's a legend for a reason, and a huge personality, so expectations are very high that he'll prove as fascinating a subject as he is a writer. Well, website's up and it includes a trailer and a healthy number of other clips so get on over and judge for yourself.

Ditto but I'm worried. From that trailer it makes it seem about as self-serving as I thought it might.
Still, I'll see it because I'm a fan and do think he deserves the praise, even if it is coming from him and some fans.
I used to subscribe to his now defunct newsletter "Down the Rabbit Hole" but have been out of touch with Ellison in Wonderland for some time. Seeing him rant and rave for 90 minutes might be bit much though!!!

Love his work, but I'd never want to meet him in a dark alley. :)
