It's a short film kind of day around here, apparently, and one you can check out in its entirety is The Formorian, an impressive fantasy piece based on Irish legend. Production values are sterling on this and while it feels more like an excerpt of something larger than it does a self contained story it certainly impresses enough to leave you wanting more. Cinematography and creature effects, in particular, are impressive for an independent short.
