No, Avery has no direct connection to this but Miguel Bardem's Mortadelo and Filemon, Mission: Save the World! seems to exist far more in the cartoon physics of Avery's pen and ink creations - most notably the Roadrunner - than in anything even remotely resembling real life. This is the second live action adaptation of the popular comic book duo, the first with Bardem at the helm, and the director of The Ugliest Woman In The World is looking like an inspired choice thus far.
