EX DRUMMER Director's Next Announced!

There are a number of film production markets - festival run forums designed to connect film makers with investors and producers - that take place around the globe every year and one of the largest is the annual Rotterdam Cinemart. Yesterday saw the announcement of thirty nine projects for the 2008 Cinemart and there area number of interesting titles in there including the previously announced Sion Sono project Room of Dreams, the latest from Flowers In The Pocket director Liew Seng Tat titled In What City Does It Live?, and a new one from Dutch cult director Alex Van Warmerdam (Laatste dagen van Emma Blank). But the prize title in this year's list, in my eyes, is a new one from Belgium's Koen Mortier titled 22nd of May. There are no details about this one out there yet but Mortier is the director of the stunning Ex Drummer and anything new from him is cause to take notice.
