Okay, before getting too excited about this it is worth pointing out that Del Toro is on board as a producer with directing duties being handled by Dan Simpson, who also adapted Barker's source material, but with Barker on board as executive producer and Del Toro on as a producer plus a cast centered on Paul Bettany and Jennifer Connelly, it's hard to imagine this going too far wrong. The film version of Barker's story is gearing up to shoot right now, here's the official synopsis:

I thought Claymation was actually a trademark registered to Will Vinton of "The California Raisins" infamy? Hope nobody gets in trouble over that.
I'm sure they have a bevy of attorneys hammering out agreements.
