After seven weeks at number one, "Hero" finally drops from the top spot replaced by Miike Takashi's "Crows Zero" an adaptation of the popular Takahashi Hiroshi manga. Several new entries debut this week including Isaka Satoshi's "The Back of the Elephant" with Yakusho Koji and Tezuka Satomi, the Jodie Foster revenge movie "The Brave One", Matthew Vaughn's "Stardust", Tsutsumi Yukihiko's love/comedy "Jigyaku No Uta" with Abe Hiroshi and Nakatani Miki and the Tokusatsu/sci-fi hero sequel "Kamen Rider The Next" (followup to "Kamen Rider The First").
Films to make their road show debut in the coming weeks include Yamazaki Takashi's "lways Zoku: San Chome No Yuhi" (Always - Series: Setting Sun on 3rd Avenue) with Koyuki, Horikita Maki and Tsutsumi Shinichi, "Bio Hazard III" (Resident Evil: Extinction) with Milla Jovovich, and John Carney's "Once - Dublin No Machikado" (Meet At A Corner in Dublin).

Has Miike had a #1 box office hit before this?
That's a good question. Yokai Daisenso, which I think is his biggest film to date in terms of budget and scale of release, only made it to #3. So maybe this is a first 1st for him.
