Yes, Japan has produced a lot of strange stuff over the years but one of the strangest is the cult hit Oh! Mikey in which bizarre family scenes involving a fictional Us family are played out with mannequins. Whoever thought this up had to have been chemically enhanced at the time and they are strangely hysterical. And you don't even have to take my word for it since we've got three complete Oh! Mikey shorts under their US release name - The Fuccons in the Twitch video player. I'll embed those after the break. Anyway ... all this to say more are coming February 22nd, with the release of Oh! Mikey Fever on English subtitled DVD. Whee!
Honestly, this thing is probably the unfunniest part of the almost-entirely unfunny Vermilion Pleasure Night DVDs.
there are some funny moments on vermilion pleasure night (mainly the stop motion animated portions). unfortunately the whole thing (vpn) is pretty much a one hitter quitter...not so funny the second time around. more like shocking absurd the first time then you become desensitized.
