About that transforming TRANSFORMERS Limited Edition DVD...

by Ard Vijn, November 1, 2007 9:45 PM

Sure, the United States version was an exclusive and quickly sold out...

Sure, the Japanese version has been over-pre-ordered already...

But if you're really desperate to own this, there are thankfully other countries which sell this as well!

Today this version hits the shelves in Australia, region 4, with the added advantage for Europeans that it's PAL encoded rather than NTSC.
Online stores based 'down under' like DeVoteD have it in stock as we speak!

Want it in NTSC instead of PAL? There is a Thai version available as well, in region 3 NTSC, so you can try an online store like eThai CD. They have lovely pictures of the thing too...

Know other countries that sell these? Feel free to tell everyone in the comments, or in our forum!

I was at a Target store in NJ yesterday and saw a bunch of these sitting at the front endcap of a check-out counter. They're not completely sold out yet, be diligent, friends!

Thanks Clumproll,
That's exactly the sort of remark I'm hoping for!

And I stand corrected: even though it may be hard to get online, there may always be individual stores which have one or two of these babies behind the counter. As Clumproll says, diligence may be rewarded (while "giving up" never is...).

Yes, I love my transforming case as well, which I got at Target on releasse morning, (and my 2 year old son can't wait to break it!,) but there were tons of these on the shelves. Which is cool...!

I saw dozens of 'em on the shelves of best buy in Mississauga (Canada) when I was there a few days ago.

It's also being released in the Netherlands on dec.13, and only in the stores of Free Record Shop. It's not on their site (www.frs.nl), because they're busy with a new one, but it will be soon...

???

Unexpected, marcelb!

And that makes me a right proper fool for importing it from LITERALLY the other side of the world then, doesn't it?

Hope it doesn't turn into a second "HULK", where the Limited Edition also had brilliant packaging but could be found everywhere for 10 EUR within months...

Still, "Transformers" is a bit more popular so maybe not.
