THE TATOOIST gets picked up for North American Distribution

tatooistposter.jpgThe North American distribution rights for Peter Berger's handsome genre pic The Tatooist was just picked up by Ghost House Pictures. That would be Sam Raimi's production/distribution label with a spotty track record. For those in the neighborhood, the film is set to show at the American Film Market (AFM) this week. It is worthwhile nothing that the script was co-penned by Black Sheep director and Twitch favorite, Jonathon King. While the film has played (I hear lacklustre-ly in its home country of New Zealand), no word yet of a theatrical release Stateside.

[The Tatooist] centers on Samoan spiritual beliefs about a U.S. tattoo artist who unwittingly unleashes a powerful and angry spirit with one of his designs.
