Takashi Miike's 'Crows Zero' starts selling internationally

by Andrew Mack, October 11, 2007 8:58 PM

crowszero.jpegNo sooner had Miike's third film in as many months, Crows Zero, screened at Pusan Film Festival and announcements of international sales have started. When it comes to Miike any news is good news and I will want to confirm something that Logboy alluded to in one of his posts not too long ago about North American rights already being sold to our friends at Media Blasters. Anyways, on to the news...

...Tokyo Broadcasting Systems has closed a deal with Splendid of Germany for the Takashi Miike bad-boys-run-wild film "Crows: Episode 0." Splendid will release the pic[ture] straight to DVD.

TBS also has high hopes for sales to China, Korea and Thailand, where the hit comic film has been translated into local languages.

So regardless of where it ends up you know and trust that someone out there will have an English friendly DVD out some time. And if it is MB then we're in a good spot because their releases are usually tip-tip.
