Thanks for this bit of news Roystalin! I loved Greg Mclean's "Wolf Creek" - very gruesome but a genuinely creepy movie. I am definitely interested in seeing this film and hopefully it won't be like the other alligator-in-the-lake movie "Lake Placid" which was horrible. My favorite alligator movie still has to be Lewis Teague's "Alligator". Too bad its sequel (Alligator 2: The Mutation) was a major disappointment and beyond bad.
I've been hearing bad things about this, but based on McLean's strong work with rote material in WOLF CREEK I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt (Radha Mitchell gets a pass in my book, too for now).
This has been pushed so many times I'm just assuming it'll be a DTV title in the states. Just hurry up and release it, either way!
I'm a sucker, as I am inexplicably a fan of giant aligator/croc films and think this film looks pretty enjoyable. If your jonesin' for some more "Australian Croc films" Check out 1987's Dark Age which is a really fun film....even though it is a bit difficult to track down.
Saw Rogue at Sitges and nothing good to report. I'm a fan of Wolf Creek and monster croc/alligator movies like Alligator and Dark Age. It was absolutely painful watching this movie and how bad it turned out to be. I'm very sad to say this.
The sequel that the original deserved, Men in Black 3 is not exactly fresh, but it is an honest journeyman's effort by director Barry Sonnenfeld, and features a peachy-fine performance by Josh Brolin, who easily outshines putative star Will Smith. That in itself is something of an accomplishment; Smith has been so hell-bent on creating and maintaining a bad-ass...

Welcome to a long overdue new series from Twitch's Video Home Invasion!I have no really good reason for taking so long between columns. I will only tell you that between reviewing home video releases almost every day, keeping up with Indian film festivals all over the world, and my regular home life, it can be a bit tough to...

Now that the Razzie Awards for the worst films of the year have devolved into cheap shots at easy targets, perhaps it's time for their foreign equivalents to carry on the torch. Consider France's Gérard Awards, which, at the very least, have a lot more fun with the titles of their prizes. They also manage to put a few awards-darlings...

The Weinsteins will either quickly dump this on DVD or dump it in the dregs of January/February next year. That's my guess.
