Oh, sweet lordy. As anyone who has spent any time around here at all should know I am a raging fan of Terry Gilliam and count his Brazil as the film that well and truly launched my fixation on film. Well, after far too many starts and stops the snake-bitten one is at it again. We reported back in June that Tom Waits and Heath Ledger had been cast for his latest, titled The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus and now we've got some more casting details courtesy of Film Ick. First up, we now know that Waits is the villain of the piece - which makes me cackle with glee - and cast opposite him as the titular Doctor is Christopher Plummer, who I think is a stellar fit for Gilliam's off kilter worlds. Also on board are Lily Cole, Andrew Garfield and Vern Troyer. The film is now apparently deep into pre-production.

That's nice but as always with anything Gilliam I'll keep my excitement in check until I'll be able to download a trailer somewhere.

I am ALSO a raving Terry Gilliam fan. Brazil is, in my opinion, one of the most imaginative film ever made. And films like 12 Monkeys and Monty Python and the Holy Grail I couldn't live without.

The first thing that gets me interested in his latest film is the title. You can ALWAYS count on good old Terry for a great title:)
