Feng Li, along with writer Wang Bin, wrote the scripts for two of Zhang Yimou's martial arts epics Hero and House of Flying Daggers. Now he is taking to the directors chair himself and will direct his own script. "You could think of it as a Korean romance meets Hong Kong martial arts film. We intend to name the film after a martial arts style or move." That is all the detail that Li is about to reveal at this moment as he is tweaking the script and hopes to start filming by the end of the year. But, by his description it sounds that his film will run along similar themes and narratives as his two previous projects. Whether he will have his own visual style established will remain to be seen.

The bit of casting news that we do know is that actresses Yuan Quan [left] and Tong Yao will star in the film with Tiger Chen, Yuen Wo Ping's protege. Tiger will also be choreographing the movie, is giving Tong Yao demanding training in preparation for the movie.
