Though this hasn't been released yet the Varg Veum films are already a big deal in their native country, the production company having staked a huge amount of capital on their success, signing up Trond Espen Seim to play the character in a whopping six projects - two for theatrical release, four for television - already, banking on the popularity of the best selling novels by Gunnar Staalesen. Will they be able to sustain it for six films? No idea, but this first one certainly looks to be starting things off on the right foot ...
