I first became aware of director Thomas Ikimi thanks to his very impressive noir-ish debut film Limbo which I reviewed here. At the time he made that film Ikimi was a transplanted Londoner, away from home studying philosophy in the United States. While there he lived through the September 11th attacks. Shortly after his return home his cousin was one of the fifty two victims of the London subway bombings. The Homefront is Ikimi's attempt to document the year of his life that followed that event.

I have a soft spot for Limbo...sign me up for more Ikimi!
