One here culled from the pages of Kaiju Shakedown, where Grady Hendrix has never steered me wrong on a Bollywood flick ...
The latest flick from the director of Devdas, Saawariya is Sanjay Leela Bansali's take on a short story by Dostoevsky about a man helping a woman compose a letter to her absent lover. Now, I've read some Dostoevsky and it never struck me as anything like what Bansali has put together here: a glossy, color saturated, full on singing and dancing event. This thing looks sweet enough to send you into a diabetic shock, which is more than a little jarring when you consider the source but pretty damn exciting otherwise. The trailer is flat out stunning ...

The set(s) looks fantastic.
