It's a good time to be a fan of George Romero here in Toronto. Not only is his Diary of the Dead about to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival but the man is one of the guests of honor at this year's Rue Morgue Festival of Fear and as part of that will be making a rare personal appearance in town August 26th. The event is titled Speak of the Dead and will feature Romero on stage at Toronto's Bloor Cinema for an interactive Q&A session, a career retrospective and sneak peeks at clips from Diary of the Dead and upcoming Romero doc Dead On by Chicago film maker and general good person Rusty Nails. Advance tix are available at all the normal places around town now ...
