Iconic Hong Kong director Tsui Hark made a fair bit of noise not so far back about how he intended to continue telling the epic tale he began with Seven Swords over the span of multiple sequels and while that may still be the eventual plan nothing changes plans quite like the reality of financial failure and while Seven Swords wasn't an outright bomb it certainly did not perform up to expectations. And so Hark is moving along.
Just announced, his next project is titled Missing, a romantic mystery revolving around a team of divers exploring real life Asian Atlantis, Yonaguni, a sunken city lying between Taiwan and Japan discovered in 1986.The cast is stellar, the male lead handled by Guo Xiao Dong, the females by Angelica Lee (Lee Sinje) and Isabella Leong. Principal photography has already begun, much of the film being shot underwater in the actual Yonaguri ruins. In typical Hark fashion the story sounds more than a little complicated so rather than trying to sum up I'm simply scanning and including the synopsis from the sales booklet.

Okay, I love Tsui Hark -- even his failures cause they are still interesting -- but I'm going to be a complete pig for a second here:
The thought of a movie with both Angelica Lee and Isabella Leong swimming around in either bathing suits or diving suits makes me feel really, really, really happy.
Okay, back to normal now.
