Suzuki's the director of a quite well known feature from recent years - 'Koi No Mon' ('Otakus In Love'; with Ryuhei Matsuda for example) - as well as a contributor towards a couple of anthology films we're either still waiting for ('Female'; alongside Shin'ya Tsukamoto and Ryuichi Hiroki for example) and 'Yume Juya' ('Ten Nights of Dreams') and now returns for his second fulll feature as writer-director, adapting 'Welcome to the Quiet Room' from his own prize-winning book, which counts a cast including popular writer-actor-director Kankuro Kudo ('Ping Pong', 'Zebraman', and 'Yaji & Kita') within its numbers. Keen folk will know Suzuki's a prolific actor and writer within TV too, and he also played one of the fluffy-eared evil twins in Takashi Miike's film 'Ichi the Killer' back in 2001.
