Kim Hye-soo, winner of the Best Actress Award at the 27th Blue Dragon Film Awards for her performance in “War of Flowers,” shows another side to her character in the upcoming black comedy “A Good Day to Have an Affair,” in which she portrays a married woman cheating on her husband with a man ten years her junior. The beautiful actress, whose appearance in "Hypnotized" (2004) and "The Red Shoes" (2005) failed to kindle viewer's interest, has suddenly become a hot commodity after her role as a sensual gambling hostess in "War of Flowers." In the new film, directed by Jang Moon-il ("The Happy Funeral Director", 2000) Kim plays E-seul, a free-spirited woman having an affair with a college boy played by Lee Min-ki. i Film, a production house of Sidus HQ, badly needs a winner after a lackluster series of box office underperformers which includes "Hypnotized," "Windstruck," "S Diary" and "Sad Movie." The Media Ratings Board refused to give the film a "15-year-old and above" rating on account of nudity and provocative kissing, leading producer i Film to anticipate an "18-year-old and above" rating at final deliberations at the end of this month. Kim is also set to appear in Chung Yoon-cheof's "Isn't It Good?," in which she plays an unemployed woman. Supposedly Kim, who was to have had a cameo in the film, was given more to do by the director, enticed by her performance. The actress had hardly finished shooting "A Good Day to Have an Affair" when she began work on "11th Mother," in which the versatile actress takes on the role of a prostitute.
