According to the article "Jorge Olguín recibe dos nuevas ofertas para dirigir en EE.UU." in the Chilean newspaper La Tercera, Olguín has received offers to direct Screen Gems' Prom Night remake and NALA Films' Open Grave. The shooting of Clock Tower, which Olguín is set to direct, has been postponed until the middle of this year. Olguín's oft-delayed The Call of the Sea (Caleuche: el llamado del mar) is scheduled to start shooting in April on Chiloé Island in Chile.

Here's a synopsis for Open Grave from NALA Films' website: "Waking up in the remote wilderness in a pit full of corpses, a man [with no memory] must figure out if one of the strangers who rescued him committed the heinous murders... or if he himself is the killer."

Olguín's previous directing credits include Eternal Blood (Sangre eterna) and Black Angel (Ángel negro).

man...this guy is a really bad director, i dont know why you gringos give him so much attention when all the movies he has made are really bad, with actors that have give some of the worst acting in his careers when playing the characters in his movies that are horribly directed and you cant blame it on the low budget because that excuse has its limits, i thought that the press of chile was stupid for giving him so much attention and thought it was because we have low cultural levels but it really shock me that internationally he has been welcomed in the film community like he has some talent and that day after day he gets more and more attention...please do yourself a favor and ignore this guy, he hasnt done any merit to be where he is now

I don't agree. I believe that Olguin is an interesting director, I managed to see his two previous films and have many very interesting atmospheres and ideas without concerning the low budget. Here there are some commentaries on his films
