Miller/Snyder's "300" - Second Full Trailer

It has been floating all over the place on the web now, the second trailer for Zack Snyder's lush and hyper-stylized version of Frank Miller's "300."

I don't know if I'm alone on this or not, but I wonder whether the testosterone loaded vibe can sustain a feature length telling. Sure, Robert Rodriguez's Sin City more than kept my interest throughout (probably due to the playful humour hiding just beneath the surface and eclectic casting of certain actors against type). I get a bit nervous with all of Gerald Butler's shouting in the trailers (signaling that this is going to take itself serious to the point of camp). There is no question that Warner Brothers and Co. have my $10 when the film comes out, but I'm trying to lower my expectations. I suspect that this film will have a very draggy middle (kind of like Snyder's Dawn remake) or that it will make a couple of fantastically catchy trailers and be little more than empty calories (or worse - overbaked) in the cinema.

So just as I've gotten used to the idea that there will be a rhino as well as some kind of Orc-looking motherfucker in this movie this new trailer throws a gigantic fat man-blob with swords instead of arms at me. What the fuck?!?

well, it's a comic adaption.
so there will be nudity, decapitations, rhinos, malformed "monsters", cardboard-cut villains and MAJOR SHOUTING !!!!! believe me, almost
every dialogue in the comic is written in bold, big letters which
means SHOUTING. and yes, i think it will drag alot cause if u want
to make the more expository scenes work, you must rewrite/rearrange alot of stuff. and i think it's ok that they go for serious, they
could not do anything else when lookin on the 300 source material.

but damn, this style (filter is called "the crush") is sweet.
it's like sex, only for the eyes :)
