Big thanks are due to Johnny Nguyen for passing along a series of stills and behind the scenes images from upcoming Vietnamese action film The Rebel, a 20's era period piece in which he plays a spy for the French army who falls in love with a woman from the resistance movement. We first linked to the trailer for this back in August and seeing these images in decent resolution just drives home the film's impressive production values: this thing simply looks fantastic and with the experienced cast and crew I have very high expectations for it.

Charlie Nguyen is an excellent director -his action movie proved his talents that I hope he can bring the south vietnamese soldier before 1975 into the scenes as new project!!
All of my life I wished that our Southern Vietnamse has a chance to see a movie about the South Vietnamese soldier who died for our freedom-they're gratefully as immortal and glory.
Think about start a movie about -specially the Battle of An Loc in June of 1972 where the hero brigadier general Le Van Hung who defend the town under heavy attacks and won the enemy as a legend!!!

For my own opinion, I only wish to see we can make the movie about South Viets soldier as remembering and honored them-because American who even fighting together with them and betrayed them in 1975-has never been to talk or honored them as heroes but indeed they are TRUE HEROES OF SOUTH VIETNAMSE PEOPLE within more than 20 years to fight the communists!!!
