Well well, a nice little surprise; the Amazon search engine is still giving me trouble...! Here in this small pile of Hiroki movies lies one damn good film I have seen ('Vibrator', 2003) recently on the Korean DVD (English Subtitles, free Soundtrack CD) and it's easily one of the nicest, most natural films I've seen in a long time - a road journey, a romance, stunning, and very highly recommended.
In here also lies a couple more, now automatic purchases in my book, Director Hiroki's two films from 2000, 'Tokyo Trash Baby' ('Tokyo gomi onna' - part of the same 'Love Cinema' series as Takashi Miike's 'Visitor Q') and 'I Am an S+M Writer' ('Futei no kisetsu' - Goldview say it was made in '99, IMDB has it as 2000). Very good Director, let's hope for more, but for now these are fine choices...

Yes! This news made my day. I would have never expected that Tokyo Trash Baby would get a DVD release outside Japan.
Great news indeed! I watched a fansub of Tokyo Trash Baby and really liked it. Still have to see SM Writer...
Would be great if Kino would release Akihiko Shiota's Love Cinema entry "Gips" as well. Like Tokyo Trash Baby the original unsubbed Japanese DVD is long out of print.
