Back when I reviewed Wilson Yip / Donnie Yen martial arts fest Dragon Tiger Gate I commented on how much young actor Nicholas Tse has grown on me over the past few years, beginning with his part in Jackie Chan's New Police Story and carrying through The Promise and A Chinese Tall Story. I'm not about to crown him the new king of Hong Kong, but the guy's got talent and seems to consistently elevate the material he's working with.
