By virtue of its location a few time zones to the east, the Austin Film Festival will host the US Premiere of Shinya Tsukamoto's Nightmare Detective on Thursday, October 26.
It plays the same night at the Hawaii International Film Festival. Nightmare Detective was described by Grady Hendrix at Kaiju Shakedown as "one of three great movies" he saw in Pusan recently, a combo of X-Files and Nightmare on Elm Street with a lot of humor.
