Ah, I've been anxiously awaiting this one for what seems like forever now and that wait is finally coming to an end with it's Russian theatrical release slated for January and screenings planned at the upcoming AFM - a major reason I'm making the trip out there this year.
Wolfhound is the big budget Russian sword and sorcery picture - the biggest budget Russian picture ever when it began production, though it has been surpassed since - that has been winding its way through the post-production maze for about a year now. For my money the sword and sorcery sub-genre is one of the toughest to get right and everything, absolutely everything I have seen from this film so far says that they have absolutely nailed it.
