A new poster for Park Chan Wook's I'm A Cyborg and That's Okay has turned up online and it seems safe to say that when Park claimed he wanted a break from the darkness of the revenge trilogy he wasn't kidding.
You can find a much larger version plus links to loads of production photos here.
Thanks to Sloindahed for the pointer.

...and Korea continues to have the dumbest titles.
hey david, you must not know who park chan wook is. i don't care what the movie is called...if he made it it's gold.
I love the title. Lighten up, sugar.
Looks like a poster for a Nickelodeon movie. Not exactly evokative of Park Chan Wook's dark and gritty style.
Jason says it's gold and has not even seen it yet. Hey, Jason have you seen Sympathy for Mr Vengeance? It was ultra boring and pointless! The other two are great, but what was up with that flick? Soooooooo bad.....
WAAA! 'the hell is up with that!? I only pressed the dern thing once...
Sorry about that, seems the gremlins are after my messages...
i liked sympathy for mr vengeance as well. park chan wook is fucking around with us. trust me.
I like the title but if blade runner was called "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" like the book title, do you think it would have had the same success? I suppose you cant judge a book by its cover so i guess we'll have to wait and see....im going to watch it for sure.
Does anyone know if that's also the title in Korean? Quite often the English titles bear no relation to the Korean.
Chris, yes, that's the literal translation of the Korean title as far as I can tell. (The Korean title is "싸이보그지만 괜찮아," which romanized becomes "Saibogujiman kwenchana," and I know the latter word means something along the lines of "everything is okay.")

I think you probably pressed the Back button in your browser after adding your comment to try to go to the main page, but if you browse backwards after adding a comment I think that it adds duplicate comments. Using the Twitch site navigation menu buttons near the top of the page will solve this problem.
As a side note, I rented Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance a few months ago and was quite disappointed due to the hype. Other than the kidnap victim, I didn't have any emotional attachment to any of the other characters. So contrary to the title, I didn't feel any sympathy for Mr. Vengeance.
Though I'll see I'm A Cyborg And That's Okay anyway, because I totally love Im Soo-Jung! She has more powerfully emotive acting than I've seen from any other Asian actor or actress. She's the only actress that can consistently make me cry.
What hype is there to SFMV? It's rare to even find people who like that movie.
Add my name to the list of those who believe that Sympathy for Mr Vengeance is not only Mr Park's most powerful film, but also one of the greatest Korean films of the last decade.
I also think Sympathy For Mr Vengeance was his best of the three vengeance movies, but I like JSA the most of all of his movies so far.
Sure Korean titles can sometimes sound a bit silly, but I often prefer them over those corny, cheesy, cliched American titles like "Dark Fury", "Absolute Power", "Run Of Fire", "Perfect Annihilation", "Kill Zone", "Death Attack" etc. etc.
"I'm a fan of Park Chan Wook, and that's Okay!"
"I'm a fan of Park Chan Wook, BUT that's ok."
Is this new poster really so very jolly? I think the dark cloud in the background is a bit ominous.
does anybody know when this film will be released in korea?
The thing everybody needs to remember is that this is a romantic comedy. If you're expecting something in line with the vengeance films - which Park has said repeatedly he's pretty sick of - you absolutely will not get it. For a rom-com set in a mental hospital with a girl who thinks she's a cyborg from the future I think the title's a lot of fun.
People awaiting the return of the dark Park will need to wait for the vampire film he's doing after this one ...
Anomalie....this film is tentatively scheduled for release on Dec. 06.
It's a great title, either way it's translated.
okay. so. love the title, dying to see the movie, can't wait to see what park does w/ rom com, think the leads will actually do a great job, loved mr vengeance, loved jsa, park is an amazing director.
i think that covers it.
5dec in korea, right? any inkling when/if it'll be released in the us? the waiting is the hardest part...

It'll be interesting to see what Park Chan-wook can do in this film as opposed to his more violent Revenge trilogy and prove that he's not a one-genre director (or close enough). Probably the closest I can think is hearing that Takashi Miike was getting into childrens films, Zebraman was great, Yokai Daisenso had a definite case of "things that make you go hmm..."
let me just add: if he said that line To her, he said "Even though you're a cyborg, it's okay"
