The latest picture from Norwegian indie producers Tordenfilm - previously home to the much loved UNO - returns them to the seedy underbelly of Oslo.
The production company behind the local box office hit and internationally acclaimed feature film Uno (Aksel Hennie/2004) returns with their next gritty drama. Sons is the story of 25 year old Lars, whose temper has gotten him into trouble all his life. When he discovers that an elderly man is fooling around with the teenage boys in his suburb, it triggers a terrible rage in him. Lars embarks on a crusade to stop the abuser, but it soon spins out of control. Lars' actions end up endangering those he set out to protect.
Sønner will be Tordenfilm's third feature but they've already built a name for themselves as a production house to watch with both of their previous features - the other being The Bothersome Man, which premiered at this year's Cannes Film Festival and has been scooping up awards all over the place - and the trailer for this outing looks to continue their quality streak ...
