Intriguing news from Dread Central today, who have had word from David Hess that he is in talks to play a major villain in the long rumored Sons of El Topo from director Alejandro Jodorowsky. That this one would apparently also star Nick Nolte and Marilyn Manson - both also slated to appear in Jodorowsky's King Shot - is also an interesting twist ...

Over a month ago, I talked to David Hess about this at Chiller in New Jersey. I emailed you guys about it but you never mentioned it...
I'm pretty sure KING SHOT and SONS OF EL TOPO are the same film. KING SHOT has been in works for at least 3 years (Fangoria had the original scoop in July 2003 in fact) and that was before Allen Klein and Jodorowsky made peace. So I assume he changed the title to KING SHOT (or KINGSHOT as the Fango article referred to it) to avoid right issues and now that that is no longer a problem he's changed the title back to SONS OF EL TOPO. Two new Jodorowsky films is simply too good a thing to actually happen. But yeah, maybe you guys can get some word from the man himself and clear this up once and for all? Contact the source who sent you those storyboards or something ...
