While I'd known of the existence of a Japanese trailer for Tony Jaa's Tom Yum Goong for a little while now I'd never actually looked at it until tonight. After all, I've already seen the movie and how different could this one be from the rest? Heh, heh ... little mistake there in that I forgot this was a Japanese trailer and those boys do some crazy stuff in their trailers from time to time ...
Anyway, I got an email from our friend Jiangtou tonight insisting that I check it out. He then went on to question the legitimacy of my parentage. I put a brave face on it, but I was crying inside at that last bit.
Anyway ... it doesn't reach quite the level of insanity of the Japanese trailer for Born to Fight but it's certainly got a little dose of that special something ...

The Japanese sure know how to make a fun trailer! I think these guys should make trailers for EVERY film in existance. Heck most Hollywood trailers could be improved by the J voiceover man and his crazy balloons!
Oh, and one more thing... There certainly seems to something to be said for trailers like this, because I just went out and bought Tom Yum Goong on VCD having never shown any interest in Tony Jaa before.
