The Japanese sale DVD (BBBJ-6572; NTSC, region 2, no subtitles) of Shin'ya Nishimura's live-action omnibus movie Lemon Angel (Remon enjeru - jissha-ban) is now available for pre-order from Twitch affiliate YesAsia.com (Hong Kong) Ltd.. Happinet K.K. (K.K. Hapinetto) is scheduled to release the DVD in Japan on June 23rd.
As was previously reported here and there on Twitch, the screenplay for Lemon Angel was written by Kôsuke Komatsu. The movie stars Haruka Ogura as Miki, Saki Yoshida as Tomo, and Ryô Shihono as Erika. The rest of its principal cast is as follows: Keisuke Minami, Yûya Matsuura, Takuya, Ken Wakabayashi, Kei Akamatsu, Takehito Kotani, Masao Taniguchi, Gai Kiji, Tôru Nakano, Masahide Nakano, Saori Takano, and Secchin Kawaya.
With regard to the allegation made by Twitch reader Caterpillar that "'lemon" usually refers to underage stuff and child porn in Japan" (see here), I haven't been able to find any evidence in support of this claim - and, not surprisingly, he hasn't provided any. According to the Wikipedia entry "Lemon (anime)": "Lemon is a term used in reference to anime and manga, especially fanfiction, to describe material with explicit sexual content, such as hentai, yaoi, and yuri." Lemon Angel, however, doesn't appear to contain any explicit sexual content - let alone explicit sexual content involving children.
For those who previously read about Lemon Angel here on Twitch, and who consider the movie to be child pornography, I have a few questions: Why do you continue to visit Twitch? Do you continue to visit other sites that link to (promotional materials for) what you consider to be child pornography? Have you contacted the authorities about Twitch's linking to (promotional materials for) Lemon Angel? If not, why not? (Note to Gabriel Barrera: Don't bother to post any more of your reprehensible pro-child porn messages in the reader comments sections of Twitch articles - like spam, they will be deleted.)
