New Death Trance Trailer Online! Crappy Format, GREAT Trailer!

Whee! I've been pretty outspoken in the past about my anticipation of Death Trance, the new martial arts movie starring Tak Sakaguchi and directed by the action director of the film that made Sakaguchi a star in the first place: samurai zombie flick Versus. Well, the more footage that becomes available for Death Trance the more excited I get and that trend continues with this one. The new trailer is available only in a fairly low grade streaming format on IFilm but there's loads of new footage in it and it looks like a fantastically good time. Watch for the ridiculously large anime styled uber-sword, the completely anachronistic appearance of a motorcycle and the vampires. Yes, vampires. I didn't know they were in there, either.

In other Death Trance news, that's the DVD cover to the left and the film will begin it's limited theatrical release with April screenings in San Francisco. More details as we get them.

Is that breakdance fighting I see?

Capoeira, but I forgot if they actually do term that as breakdance fighting. Ugh.

Wow, this is the first DT trailer that makes me really want to see it. Over-the-top, but it takes itself seriously (unlike Versus) without being too grave (like Kitamura's Alive). It had that Kitamura feel with the first two trailer, but this one seems to have a good balance.
