"Brian thinks he is a messiah. Not the messiah, mind you. Just a local, regionally-selected messiah for his own hometown ..."
So goes the introduction to The Proper Care and Feeding of an American Messiah, a moc-doc shot in Waco, TX where they might just know a thing or two about messianic tendencies. The film is doing the festival circuit now and the trailer looks like a good time, though I'm curious to see how the religious right - not known for their sense of humor - respond to it.

With Confederate States of America, The Trailer Park Boys Movie, For you Consideration, and Tristram Shandy, There sure are a lot of Mock Documentaries floating around out there. Anything that I'm missing?
What do you mean you're curious to see how the "religious right" responds to the film? The so-called "religious right" WROTE the film...
