This first stills from Miike's youth-in-prison film, Big Bang Love Juvenile A starring Ryuhei Matsuda, have turned up on the production company's website and check out that one to the left. I presume that's one of the prison scenes and the design approach should be familiar to anyone who's seen Dogville or Manderlay. Miike's copped a trick from Von Trier's book and left the entire prison set, at least, an open space with the walls drawn out on the floor. Can't say I saw that coming ...

I'm sure Miike can do more with the concept than the vastly over-rated Von Trier ever could.
Von Trier is a wonderfull film maker who has way to many haters to be called over-rated.
