The complete film list for this year's Sundance Festival has been online for a while now and while I haven't had the time to go over it in detail yet the good people at Variety have and have selected a list of ten directors to watch with clips from each director, mostly pulled from Sundance films and most of which are unavailable elsewhere.
Most of the list is pretty much what you'd expect from Variety - i.e. good, but very serious films - but there are some surprises, Neil Marshall (The Descent, Dog Soldiers) being the big one ...

all looked pretty standard... still wish i could go to sundance though :)
