Judging from the number of comments in previous Twitch entries for Kurt Wimmer's Ultraviolet (here and here), there is a lot of interest for his follow-up to Equilibrium. Things appear to be a lot more stylized, sexy and action oriented now that Milla Jovovich is more or less in the Christian Bale role; and comparisons to Resident Evil are not unexpected (Is this a good thing? No, but Kurt Wimmer is not Paul W.S. Anderson) Well it's not too long to February 24th before we can find out.

I'm quite looking forward to seeing this...a regular at a club I DJ plays a detective, and a friend of a friend plays the young Violet. Their impressions of the film have generally been very favorable, but then again, like Equilibrium, I think it'll be hard to convey the visceral action that really makes these movies.
It looks like a step up from Equilibrium (badly phrased pun intended) but I still can't raise my hopes too high.
The more moviemaking I actually do, the clearer it becomes that the action, the kinetics, the back-and-forth and use of screen geography that this kind of film requires is actually, relatively easy. Comedy timing is a harder thing to nail, and sophisticated, subtle, nuanced drama... phew.
