Quick! Without using the IMDB, name a good film Christopher Lambert has been in other than the original Highlander! Mack and I just played this little game via Messenger and neither of us could do it, and yet I can't help liking the guy and tracking his films.
Lambert will be appearing next in a German produced vampire film called Metamorphosis and if the trailer is any indicator this won't be the one to break his string of mediocre or just plain bad films. Hey Todd, how about the 1997 Gabriele Salvatores sci-fi film "Nirvana"? Sure, it's cheesy and it's no masterpiece or anything, but it's definitely one of the purest cyberpunk films ever made...and it at least held my attention from beginning to end and had some excellent visuals. In my opinion, it is Lambert's only brush with quality filmmaking (yes, even over "Highlander," which I never saw the appeal of). Well, even a fool can say something smart every now and again...even if merely by accident.

Oh, come on! Just off the top of my head we have Stuart Gordon's FORTRESS, THE HUNTED (ninjas!), KNIGHT MOVES, THE SICILIAN and GREYSTOKE (in addition to the already mentioned NIRVANA).

There's is not a single original shot in this trailer. It's a teaser that culls together all sorts of scenes from The Ninth Gate, Bram Stoker's Dracula, Brotherhood of the Wolf, Blade and Blade II... The list goes on. This has to be some kind've marketing trailer.

This is a bullshit trailer. It's from the website and this is a "concept trailer" that is a total stack of cut out scenes from other vampire movies. This Lambert flick was shot in Hungary last year and features -among others- a Hungarian rapper called Gangsta Zolee as a Slavic bad guy-vampire... well what can I say more? Lambert has shot 2 movies in Hungary last year (oddly enough), this was the second one, the first one was Day of Wrath where he is an investigator in a series of murders in the Inquisition-plagued Spain. Day of Wrath was supposed to feature Tim Roth who - wisely - jumped out of the project, then came some financial problems and so on... and in the end they have found Lambert.
