Ah, the wonders of independent film making ... you can have the best script and all the talent in the world but if you can't come up with the money to make your film it all comes to naught. Such is the case with Christopher White. Despite having won awards for his shorts White is scrambling to find a backer for his debut feature, the horror/thriller Last Stop. The script's ready, it's all story boarded, all he's lacking is the backing. And he's taking some interesting steps to find it ... a while back White cut together a trailer made up of images from his storyboards. And it looks mighty good. And today I got a note from him pointing me to a five minute scene from the film he shot in two days on a very tight budget to show off the look of the film. And, once again, it's well worth your time to take a look at. Here's the film's synopsis:
"After waking up at the last stop of a desolate subway station then being attacked and knocked unconscious by a mysterious man in a blood stained Santa outfit on Christmas Eve. Workaholic ad executive Trevor Pace awakens in a tub filled with ice only to find himself missing his kidney and that's the good news..With the clock ticking, his health fading, no clue where he is, armed with only his wits and the trust of a stranger. Trevor must fight for his life as he falls deeper and deeper into a dark sinister world consisting of an organized black market organ jacking ring, missing children, corrupt cops, hellish visions, and the relentless pursuit of a deformed killer known only as Mummy Man.
Last Stop is a twisted, violent take on Alice In Wonderland on some serious Acid."

How sad that people spend money on Rocky Resurrected with a 65 year old Stallone trying to prove he still produces enough testosterone instead of this stuff. Hollywood, wake up.
Slick and Sick. "Saw" (without the gimmicks) meets Dirty Pretty Things?
I hope he finds funding for this...but that is already looking like a hard-hard R.
I'm a little worried because the macabre looking guy wielding the razor-dildo-weapon could either be really wicked or laughably stupid depending on how it's presented. The Dark City trailer music still gives me goosebumps, and if they're trying to make a demented horror version of that or anything like the xbox 360 game, Condemned (which the synposis and tone of the trailer kind of reminded me of) then I hope they get the money to make this film.
Was that a dildo? Because I figured it was only a matter of time before someone played the deformed penis angle.
whoa did you guys watch the demo clip not the storyboarded trailer which was also cool. Pretty messed up! Hope this gets some backing.Cool stuff!
That was damn creepy. I'll never hear "White Christmas" the same again! Well done!
I couldn't get it to play on my PC =(
Kick ass concept that we really haven't seen explored before. I'm having high hopes for this if it gets made. The clip was promising.
Cool SH*T Batman!
Nice work Chris, I see you picked up some tricks during your stint at Dreamworks. What is up with the spikey dildo though? No homo.
