This is not entirely movie related but if you are a fan of Edgar Wright's brilliant TV series SPACED - specifically the episode 'Camden', good old Hong Kong action movie stand offs and video games then I have just found the most brilliant ad I have seen... today. It has been banned from airing by someone's lawyers but any fan of SPACED or John Woo Hong Kong films will appreciate this. It'll speak to you on a very deep level.

You just made my Monday with this.
That kicks ass ... I'm sure he's probably already seen it, but I just sent the link to Edgar ...
So many people had visited there and commented. Wow. How do they do it? It's not fair, they're actually advertising while I simply have an Xmas film I want to show and I've only had a couple of thousand hits.
And it's a cute film too!

Whoa. Kick-ass commercial. Shame it's banned
Just to let you guys know, the reason it was removed from air is because Microsoft was sued by the Bard sketch comedy group, Olde English. Their version is a couple of years old now and is the best version I've seen so far:

I must be the only "Spaced" fan who didn't like that episode.
ive seen Qt versions of this and other banned 360 ads around... not very imaginative, me thinks. anyway, nice to see them.
Anyone know who directed this commercial? Nobody mentions it on the numerous webpages devoted to it.
On the subject of Spaced....
There is a previous series by the Spaced crew (Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg etc.) called Asylum which has never been released and is nigh on impossible to find. I'd like to see it and found a petition online with that very purpose in mind - http://www.petitiononline.com/assylum/
Anyone else of the same opinion? please sign it too!
I'm so glad this advert isn't being shown. Big companies are such rip-off merchants. They're not happy with monopolizing computer platforms... They have to rip-off a sketch from a beautifully cult British sitcom and broadcast it to the viewing masses that they know would be ignorant of it roots, so they adore Microsoft for the genius idea instead! Gah! (I guess I'm just sore 'cause most clever, witty British ideas get stolen by fatcats on other shores and we rarely get the recognition for it. Cadbury chocolate better not close its factory in Birmingham, UK and set up camp in California. That'll be next!)
